I'm at Port City Java and yoinking the internets. But really I'm just bugging a friend of mine who works here. :P It's ridiculously slow here right now and soon I'm going home and finishing up my Eowyn Gown.
Going to SLRF tomorrow with another friend and hopefully meeting up with some of my friends from Kalamazoo there. YAY! :D
Gonna wear my Eowyn Green Gown. It's almost done, I just need to put grommets in the back. I'm so happy! :) I haven't made a LotR gown in aaaaaaaaaages!
And yeah my life is kinda boring. Been working, sitting around, contemplating fixing my bodice for my court garb (it died on me Wednesday at the parade. Guess I measured myself wrong or anticipated more weight loss than I've actually lost. Oopsie daisy. I'm glad I bought more than enough velveteen, I think I can make another bodice or two out of it. *crosses fingers* I can buy more for sleeves later.), and being lazy mostly.Â
Lilo and Stitch at Ren Fest. In Hawaii no less!! *giggle*
This is hysterical! Lilo basically won tickets to the 'Elizabethan Festival' over the radio and got to take her friends, 'cept Stitch wasn't allowed in because he's a 'dog'.
Jumba is dressed up as Henry VIII (who entered himself into a haggis eating contest) and Pleakley as a peasant who is turned into the Queen for a day. (After leaning against the throne while unlacing 'her' bodice because it was 'too tight'. That made me laugh a little.) :P Stitch made a suit of armor out of tin cans! :) Lilo is in this cute little princessy dress.
And they just mentioned hiding from an experiment at the dueling buckets booth!!! :P And Gamtu is holding like 50 turkey drumsticks! :P And Stitch just used their Maypole as a lance.
PBS promo was fun! :) YAY! Phones didn't work until the last half hour so we basically sat around talking for awhile. Apparently, according to Mum, no one is to give me coffee. Ever. :P Sherri and I decided to get those 100 things our characters do in a day on paper and mess around with Brian just because we felt like it. Some of the things on both our lists is 'Assassinate Duke Fairfax", "Are you actually reading this?", "Insert chocolate cake recipe here", "Hide pirates under hoopskirt", and "Wonder how Duke Fairfax's brain functions. Oh wait!". :P
Work was really slow today. I guess Wednesday's are like that. *shrug* Afterwards I played Scene It at a friend's house and totally kicked butt! YAY! I can't help that I'm a movie buff. :P And I get to dogsit for them this weekend cuz they're moving their eldest to D.C. and I'm apparently one of the only people my friend's mom trusts. Yay? But I'm happy cuz I just have to stay there for 2 days and hang out with the dogs and get paid. Yay money! For more garb! YAY! ^_^
I'm watching Ghost Hunters now. I love this show. They're in Ireland at the moment and I really want to go there someday.
